“Buy your rubber duckies!”
“The rubber duck race starts in just a few hours!”
And they’re off.
Lots of people watched.
The downwind regatta (wind-powered boat race) started before all the ducks made it to the end.
Docks are not allowed,
but rafts that look like docks…
Sea slug sighting!
(Photos by Gavin.)
We went for an evening walk in the canals.
We saw an artichoke growing in someone’s front yard.
We saw a Viking boat.
We crossed bridges.
And we found this little tunnel.
Guess what’s out there.
This green-legged bird let us get very close.
On our way home from the beach, we saw an egret.
Here he is in context.
This neighborhood is packed with interesting things.
In just this stretch of canal,
I saw twelve sea slugs.
Here are three of them.
And here’s one more that was close to the sidewalk.
I saw them all on my way to pick up lunch at this great little Mexican place around the corner.
We saw an egret.
We saw ducks.
And we saw a crab.
